Video of man urinating on Kelloggs products on assembly line has breakfast-eaters freaking out

It’s raining controversy at the Kellogg’s corporation after a video surfaced of a man urinating on products passing by on the assembly line.

According to the company’s internal investigation the video, which was uploaded to Word Star Hip Hop on Friday, the incident appears to have happened at its Memphis plant in 2014.

The slightly damp products affected would have been Rice Krispies Treats, Rice Krispies Treats cereal and puffed rice cake products.

But the company said all of the products would be past their expiration dates by now in a statement released on Saturday.

Kellogg takes this situation very seriously and we were shocked and deeply disappointed by this video that we just learned of yesterday. We immediately alerted law enforcement authorities and regulators. A criminal investigation is underway as well as a thorough internal investigation.

Our investigation revealed that the video was recorded at our Memphis, TN facility, in 2014. Products that could have been potentially affected were Rice Krispies Treats, Rice Krispies Treats cereal and puffed rice cake products, all of which would be past expiration date.

Food quality is of the utmost importance to Kellogg Company. We are outraged by this completely unacceptable situation, and we will work closely with authorities to prosecute to the full extent of the law.

CNN affiliate WREG reported that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration has opened a criminal investigation into the incident.
