One unexpected act of respect in an Indiana airport touched the lives of military men and onlookers as rap star Lil Wayne reached out to thank the servicemen.
As the hip hop artist and his crew were waiting to take off Saturday, a military C130 landed and pulled alongside his Gulfstream at the Indianapolis International Airport, Fox News reported.
The Grammy award winning artist, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., watched as about 30 uniformed men crossed in front of his plane and into the airport. He then reportedly asked his pilot to let him off the plane and entered the airport to shake the hands of each of the men.
One bystander was “impressed” by the act and posted about it on her Facebook page.
“There was no press and no one to show off for,” wrote Amanda Cooper Lickliter, “just a seemingly genuine act of respect.”
