The sad news of the passing of beloved former first lady Nancy Reagan broke Sunday morning and tributes immediately began to pour in.
Mrs. Reagan, born Anne Frances Robbins, was an actress and a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild before marrying former President Ronald Reagan in 1952.
She spearheaded the “Just Say No” campaign in the 1980’s to keep kids off drugs after a schoolgirl asked her in 1982 what to do if someone offered her drugs.
“Just say no!” Reagan replied.
With the news of her passing tributes poured in all over social media for entertainers, politicians and current presidential candidates.
Nancy Reagan was also an elegant, graceful, mostly silent representative of American womanhood. She’s not responsible for glasnost.
