Outspoken conservative actress Stacey Dash said President Barack Obama “bamboozled” the American people who were looking to the first black president to improve race relations in the country.
Appearing at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday, Dash was asked why she thinks the country is more divided along racial lines than ever.
“I think that’s the case because I think he bamboozled us,” Dash replied. “I think we all got blacked into it.
Instead of uniting the country, she said Obama did the opposite.
“We all voted for him because we believed, ‘Yes, it’s time to have a black president. He is going to unite us in a very profound way,’” Dash said.
“What did he do? The exact opposite,” she concluded.
The reaction on social media showed that many users agreed with Dash that the president has been a divider-in-chief.
