Video: Conservative speaker dares to defy ‘fascist’ campus bullies; crazed mob turns dangerous

Conservative columnist, radio host and author Ben Shapiro has fired back at left-wing students who viciously protested his appearance at California State University Los Angeles.

The controversy started earlier in the week when campus president William Covino tried canceling an appearance by Shapiro but to no avail.

“After careful consideration, I have decided that it will be best for our campus community if we reschedule Ben Shapiro’s appearance for a later date, so that we can arrange for him to appear as part of a group of speakers with differing viewpoints on diversity,” he wrote to the chairman of the Young Americans Foundation.

“Such an event will better represent our university’s dedication to the free exchange of ideas and the value of considering multiple viewpoints,” he added.

But the foundation and Shapiro went ahead with the event anyway and the left-wing zealots on campus showed just how tolerant and supportive of free speech they were by forming human chains and using violence to block entrances to the speech.

When people continued to get into the room where the speech was being delivered, by having police sneak them in through a back door, the unhinged students outside who were having a tantrum pulled the fire alarm.

Shapiro, who had to talk over the alarm, had this harsh critique of the protesters.

“Here’s my message to the bloviating jackasses outside: toughen up you spoiled brat snowflakes if you actually want a better world,” he said.

“We can have an actual conversation if they were up for it,” he continued. “There are mics here, people can ask questions. They could have engaged that way, they chose not to. Maybe they are right about how to solve America’s problems. Maybe I’m right. Maybe someone in the audience is right. We are never going to know because they won’t let the conversation happen.”

He laid out different types of diversity and said that “not all diversity is bad” in his closing remarks.

“Some diversity is terrific,” he said. “The left just ignores the only type of diversity that matters. Until they stop, America will only become a more pinched, bitter divided country, divided by tyrants, like some of those who are standing outside this hall, at the front of your classrooms and in the halls of your administration.”

Social media was lit with pictures, videos and repudiations of the protesters.

**WARNING – STRONG LANGUAGE.**

Even some liberals were outraged by the display.

Shapiro himself described the experience on social media with some choice words.
