DC police release ‘blood-boiling’ video showing brutal attack on decorated Marine vet

They must have really believed that only black lives mattered.

The Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Department released surveillance footage of a decorated Marine Corps veteran being brutally beaten outside a downtown McDonald’s restaurant in hope that someone may identify the perpetuators.

Chris Marquez, 30, who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan and received the Bronze Star for heroism, was attacked from behind as he was leaving the restaurant, according to local ABC affiliate WJLA Channel 7 News, which tweeted:.

Marquez first encountered the thugs when they surrounded him shouting “black lives matter” while he was eating. He ignored them at the time.

The attack occurred last Friday. McDonald’s turned the surveillance footage over to DC Metro Police, which published it Thursday. Here’s that footage.

Air Force Times reporter Jeff Schogol tweeted:

And word spread — heroic Marine vet was beaten by a group of Black Lives Matter thugs:

Conservative authors and columnists Monica Crowley and Michelle Malkin added their own thoughts.

Former Sgt. Marquez earned his Bronze Star with combat “V” while serving in Iraq, and helped carry then-1st Sgt. Bradley Kasal out of Fallujah’s “Hell House,” the Marine Corps Times reported.
