Obama declares ‘Trump will not be president’ – many hear secret message in his diss

President Obama said he believed in the sensibility of Americans and did not think Republican Donald Trump would win the election.

“I continue to believe Mr. Trump will not be president,” Obama said at a press conference in California Tuesday. “And the reason is because I have a lot of faith in the American people.”

Taking it a step further, Obama said the office of the president was a “serious job.”

“It’s not hosting a talk show or a reality show. It’s not promotion, it’s not marketing. It’s hard, and a lot of people count on us getting it right,” he said.

Obama said he did not think voters’ concerns were limited to Trump. “I find it interesting that everyone’s primarily just focused on Mr. Trump,” he said, “because he says in more interesting ways what the other candidates are saying as well.”

The president then made a clear reference to Sen. Marco Rubio, though he never said his name directly.

“You’ve got a candidate who sponsored a bill — that I supported — to finally solve the immigration problem, and he’s running away from it as fast as he can,” said Obama.
