Watch sparks! ‘Donkey of the Day’ didn’t sit well with TV anchor who spoke out against Beyonce

It was a remake of “War of the Worlds” Monday when Blaze TV host Tomi Lahren faced off against radio personality Charlamagne Tha God after he bequeathed her with the title “Donkey of the Day.”

The radio host gave Lahren the title because of her recent commentary bashing pop singer Beyoncé’s Super Bowl halftime show that turned a sporting event into a divisive political statement.

(See what Lahren said after receiving death threats over her statements against the superstar.)

“If you want to talk about protecting black communities, you can’t just select the things that you want to talk about — you have to be mindful of all of it,” Lahren emphasized. “If white officers stopped shooting any black person there are still going to be problems in black communities. We need to address that as well.”

But Charlamagne wasn’t buying it.

“OK, if you go to an HIV/AIDS rally, right, and the rally is about HIV/AIDS, Tomi, do you stand up and say, ‘What about cancer?’” he asked.

She threw the remark back in his face.

“When you go to the Super Bowl and you’re celebrating a day when everyone to come together, you don’t stand up and salute a terrorist organization like the Black Panthers,” Lahren shot back. “I would never support a group that was a white supremacist group or any other group — I don’t condone that. There are better leaders than Malcolm X and the Black Panthers.”

Malcolm X often called for change in the black community “by any means necessary,” and the Black Panther Party was a militant group of black revolutionaries.

“You may not agree with their methods, but, guess what, we don’t always agree with all the methods that America uses at times,” the radio personality said.

“They committed acts of terror. They were a group that responded with violence, to violence, with violence,” Lahren said. “I don’t believe that’s the way, Martin Luther King didn’t believe that was the way.”
