Obama mocks Constitution on ‘The Late Show’ post-Super Bowl

CBS seemed determined to prop up the cult of personality that is President Barack Obama during the networks broadcast of the 2016 Super Bowl, bookending the game with appearances by the president.

And as with most things Obama gets involved in, he finds a way to denigrate America’s great traditions — this time, his targets were the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

After participating in a pre-game interview that doubled as an Obama love fest, the president appeared in the live post-Super Bowl broadcast of CBS’ “Late Show” hosted by Steven Colbert — he was pre-taped.

In a corny skit, the two go back and forth over whether their exchange is live and once it’s determined that it’s not, Obama still accurately named the Denver Broncos as champions.

“What! This was a pre-tape!” Colbert exclaimed. “How could you possibly know that?”

“Stephen, I’m the president!” Obama said, before mocking the greatest document in human history. “It turns out, all of the Super Bowl winners for the next 50 years are written on the back of the Constitution.”

The president then said “that’s the plot of ‘National Treasure 3,'” before Colbert chimed in that there is no such film.

“Ha! That’s what you think,” Obama replied. “There will be. The script is on the back of the Declaration of Independence.”

We might suggest that Obama not quit his day job, but we fear he may take us seriously.
