Marco Rubio got the kind of unexpected spanking that leaves welts on Saturday night.
The US Senator’s strategy of repeating himself with talking points ad nauseam at ABC’s Republican primary debate might have passed if he hadn’t rattled the temper of fellow candidate Chris Christie.
The New Jersey governor opened giant can of whoopass!
In an embarrassing smack-down that became one of the hottest exchanges of the night, Rubio was shredded for his canned, repetitive political rhetoric, his truancy and his “lack of experience.”
“When you’re president of the United States, when you’re the governor of a state, the memorized 30 second speech where you talk about how great America is at the end of it doesn’t solve one problem for one person,” Christie said, but he was just getting started.
Pundits say Rubio may have recovered some during the second half of the night, but most agreed that the blow made him into the night’s biggest loser.
