Controversy ignites over Fox News’ next GOP debate moderators; Trump weighs in

The third Republican debate hosted by Fox News is set for March 3rd with Megyn Kelly, Bret Baier & Chris Wallace returning as moderators, Fox announced Thursday.

The event will be held in Detroit just five days before Michigan’s state primary and following on the heels of Super Tuesday.

With the return of Kelly as moderator, the question of Donald Trump’s participation inevitably comes up.

The GOP candidate skipped the last Fox debate on January 28 because he said he was treated unfairly by Kelly. After Ted Cruz’s win in Iowa Monday, Trump admitted that perhaps skipping the debate cost him the votes.

The GOP candidate has not made a commitment to participate in the upcoming Fox debate, however.

At a press conference in New Hampshire on Tuesday, Trump said, “It’s a long ways away. We’ll see,” reported CNN Money.

Social media reaction was mixed.
