‘Please clap’: Jeb’s pitiful plea to crowd could be most awkward moment of 2016 elections

In what was perhaps the most cringe-worthy moment of the 2016 presidential season, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush had to coax his supporters to clap at an event Wednesday.

It took place during a New Hampshire campaign appearance when, referring to Republican candidate Donald Trump, said he “won’t trash talk” and the next president should be “a lot quieter.”

Apparently, the audience didn’t see it as the punch line Bush thought it was, so he prodded them to “Please clap.”

Ouch!
