Freshman senator schools MSNBC in 90 secs when asked to define conservatism

U.S. Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., identified as “a rising star in the conservative movement,” was asked during a recent appearance on MSNBC to define conservatism in the 21st century.

In less than 90 seconds, Sasse nailed the answer and reminded all that America is a constitutional republic.

“What makes America great is not some guy in Washington who says, ‘If I had more power, I could fix it all unilaterally,’” he said. “That’s not the American tradition.”
