Florida-based Republican strategist Rick Wilson had no kind words for a small segment of supporters of GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump during his Tuesday night appearance on MSNBC’s “All In With Chris Hayes.”
That segment of social media-savvy kooks are known as the “alt-right.”
“I think there is definitely still a very significant portion of the party that is a limited government conservatism based faction of the overall coalition,” Wilson told Hayes. “Now, the screamers and the crazy people on the alt-right as they call it, you know, who love Donald Trump, who have plenty of Hitler iconography in their Twitter icons.”
Then he got down to descriptions.
“Most of them are childless single men, who masturbate to anime,” he told Hayes. “They’re not real political players. These are not people who matter in the overall course of humanity.”
It’s safe to say he won’t be voting for the real estate tycoon in the August 30 Florida primary.
Twitter exploded. Here are a few examples.
