‘Duck Dynasty’ patriarch is singing THIS candidate’s praises; he’s ‘one of us’

Duck Dynasty” patriarch Phil Robertson announced his 2016 presidential endorsement Wednesday — Sen. Ted Cruz, the firebrand Republican from Texas.

The announcement was made in a video released by the Cruz campaign which depicted Robertson and Cruz duck hunting.

“My qualifications for President of the United States are rather narrow,” Robertson said in the clip. “Is he or she Godly, does he or she love us, can he or she do the job, and finally would they kill a duck and put him in a pot and make him a good duck gumbo?”

After listing his criteria, Robertson announced his decision.

“I’ve looked at the candidates, Ted Cruz is my man. He fits the bill. He’s Godly, he loves us, he’s the man for the job, and he will go duck hunting because today we’re going.”

“Ted Cruz is my man, I’m voting for him,” he added.

At the end of the clip, Robertson made it clear that he spoke for the entire family.

“We’re going to vote for you — all of us,” he said to Cruz. “It’s because you’re one of us, my man.”

Well, maybe not all. Earlier his son, Willie Robertson, threw his support behind front-runner Donald Trump.

Cruz tweeted:
