A Marine veteran was killed just before the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve in a traffic accident but it’s his final Facebook post that has people in awe.
Matthew DeRemer, 31, was hit and killed by a drunk driver as he rode his motorcycle mere hours after writing the post that seemed more like a goodbye note than a normal post.
“I really don’t know where I’ll end up tonight but I do know where I wind up is where I’m meant to be,” he wrote in the post that has since gone viral.
The post was accompanied by an image that read “We are born in 1 day. We die in 1 day. We can change in 1 day. And we can fall in love in 1 day. Anything can happen in just 1 day.”
The man who killed DeRemer, 59-year-old Steven Clarke, is being held on DUI and manslaughter charges, according to Fox 13.
