ABC News claimed that Hillary Clinton is a great prognosticator and “may actually have been right” for having “predicted” that Donald would be used in a recruiting video for a terrorist organization.
During the Dec. 19 Democratic presidential debate, Clinton claimed that Trump “is becoming ISIS’s best recruiter. They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.”
That claim was quickly dismissed as untrue, and in fact, her husband was featured on an Islamic State recruiting video.
Recently, however, Trump was featured on an al Shabaab recruiting video — not Islamic State — and the hosts of ABC’s “Good Morning America” are using that to say she was right all along.
“Good morning, America,” co-host Don Harris said. “Breaking overnight: Donald Trump starring in a new terrorist video. So does this mean Hillary Clinton may have actually been right?”
“This is the first known instance of extremists using Trump’s language to attract followers, though not by ISIS as Hillary Clinton predicted,” co-host Mary Bruce chimed in.
After playing a clip of Clinton saying that Trump is (not would be) ISIS’s best recruiting tool, Harris made this observation.
“The Democratic front-runner ignited a war of words with Trump she warned that his rhetoric would become recruiting fodder.”
Actually, she didn’t “warn” us of anything. She said it was already happening at the time. If she did anything, she inspired terrorist organizations to use Trump as a recruiting tool.
