Mixed reaction after Cosby breaks silence with 5-word tweet

For the first time since his arrest last week, comedian Bill Cosby broke his silence to the public. The 78-year-old sent out a simple, five-word tweet Thursday.

The reaction on social media was swift, and more often than not, unforgiving.

Though Cosby’s tweet did seem to backfire, garnering more negative feedback than sympathy, there were still some on social media who offered encouragement and tried to stem the tide of those who are ready for sentencing when the trial has not even begun.
