Watch dog get rescued from roof of house as flood ravages Missouri

Treacherous weather has caused massive flooding in Missouri.

The Mississippi River has now over-topped levees in the Show Me State, flooding homes and causing massive evacuations and sending first responders on daring rescues.

On Wednesday CNN cameras caught one such mission when emergency workers rescued a man and his dog by boat off the roof of their house.

When rescuers had the man securely in the boat he grabbed his dog by the collar and pulled him to safety.

The man momentarily lost his balance and fell into the flood water before the rescuers pulled him back on the boat.

Watch the daring rescue below.
