They don’t call it the Clinton News Network for nothing.
Don Lemon cut off his guest Kurt Schlichter after he refused to stop holding Hillary Clinton accountable for standing by her philandering husband, former President Bill Clinton, who was accused of sexual harassment on multiple occasions.
During an interview on Tuesday, Lemon asked Schlichter his opinion of Trump’s comments where he said it was “too disgusting” to say why Clinton was late returning to the Democratic presidential debate Sunday night.
“Don, it’s gonna take a lot more for me to get upset at a woman who enabled a guy who turned the Oval Office into a frat house and his intern into a humidor,” Schlichter told Lemon. “You know, I just don’t care. I so don’t care. I would need Stephen Hawking to find the theoretical limit of how little I care about Donald Trump’s silly jokes.”
Schlichter went on to argue Hillary protecting a “serial sexual harasser” was a bigger concern and asked Lemon why that wasn’t being talked about.
“Because it has nothing to do with what happened,” Lemon said.
The CNN host told Schlichter his comments were a “cheap shot” and a “low blow” and if he wanted to criticize Hillary he should do so on what she did, not what her husband did.
“I’d like to bring Hillary Clinton’s actions into it,” he said. “When she was given the choice between standing with a serial sexual abuser or with the women who were being violated she chose to stand by her husband. A serial sexual harasser.”
“Can we cut him off please? Can we end this?” Lemon said to his staff before Schlichter’s mic was cut. “Thank you. We’re done.”
