Queen Hillary goes MIA in middle of debate: ‘Sorry’

In an odd and what should have been embarrassing moment during Saturday’s Democratic presidential debate, party front-runner Hillary Clinton disappeared during the first commercial break and didn’t return until after it had resumed.

Only Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley were on the stage, ready to debate. The center spot was empty.

ABC News moderator David Muir tried to cover for the former secretary of state as best he could.

“We believe Secretary Clinton will be coming around the corner any minute,” he said.

When she still hadn’t returned, Muir threw a question out to Sanders.

When Clinton finally made her appearance, all she said was, “Sorry.”
