Megyn Kelly gets to bottom of CAIR’s interest in San Bernardino terrorists’ baby

Why is the Council on American-Islamic Relations so interested in what happens to the baby of Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, the San Bernardino terrorists who were killed during a shootout with police?

That was the question posed by Fox News host Megyn Kelly Monday.

National Review contributing editor and former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy suggested an answer.

“CAIR is a Sharia promotion organization masquerading as a civil rights organization,” he told Kelly, “And it’s black-letter Sharia law that Muslim children can only be placed in the custody of Muslim parents.”

He went on to say that CAIR was established by both the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas in around 1993.

“Its purpose is to be an apologist for Islamic supremacism” while purporting to be a civil rights organization “because that’s very appealing in the West,” he said.

“And it’s worked!” he added.

CAIR is considered a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates and was an unindicted co-conspirator in 2007 terror-finance trial against the Holy Land Foundation.
