Sen. Ted Cruz once again revealed himself to be a class act Saturday in his response to actress and pop artist Cher’s blistering attack directed at him on social media.
Observing the Texas Republican’s disapproval of open borders although he’s the son of an immigrant, Cher compared the Texas Republican to Judas Iscariot and tweeted:
As Judas Was 2 Jesus,So Is Ted Cruz 2America.Read What He’s Written&Watched What He’s Said,4 Yrs.He ALWAYS TERRIFIED ME?#30piecesofsilver
— Cher (@cher) December 11, 2015
She followed that up with:
Expanding on the Biblical reference, the GOP presidential candidate chose to turn the other cheek instead of going on the attack.
Cher, thanks for the kind sentiments. And I wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. https://t.co/2iNXeOsvCN

And for her effort Cher got mocked, and Cruz applauded.

It seems that whenever Cher gets bored, she lashes out at Republican politicians and conservative ideals. This may be the first time she got put in her place by a gentleman being a gentleman.
