She’s still a knockout.
Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey fulfilled her promise to a Marine who made a viral video asking for her to attend a Marine Corps Ball with him.
“I love everything that you do, and I think that you are a phenomenal person which is why it would be my honor to take you to the Marine Corps Ball on December 11,” Marine Jarrod Haschert said in the video posted to his Facebook page in August. “I really hope this doesn’t get in the way of your training … but I hope you take this into consideration, because if you do, you will truly be making my dream come true,” the 22-year-old added.
In September a reporter asked Rousey if she saw the video to which she replied that she had and she’s be happy to attend.
On Saturday TMZ cameras caught up with Rousey at the airport where she spoke glowingly of her date.
He was a real gentleman and a real sweetheart. It was the only smiling I’ve been doing,” she said, a reference to her championship defeat to Holly Holm last month.

The TMZ reporter did manage to ask a political question too, as Rousey came out in support of socialist Bernie Sanders just before her defeat to Holm.

“What do you feel about Dana (White, president of UFC) supporting Donald Trump,” he asked.
“Me and Dana talk about a lot of things but politics isn’t a part of our conversations, she replied while laughing.
