Attorney General Loretta Lynch said she is looking to crack down on “violent talk” while telling Muslims she would prosecute individuals who used such speech against them.
“Now obviously this is a country that is based on free speech, but when it edges towards violence, when we see the potential for someone lifting that mantle of anti-Muslim rhetoric—or, as we saw after 9/11, violence directed at individuals who may not even be Muslims but perceived to be Muslims, and they will suffer just as much—when we see that we will take action,” she said, at a Muslim Advocates dinner in Virginia last week.
Well, some “violent talk” has been found and, if Ms. Lynch really wants to prosecute calls to violence, perhaps she might want to take a look at the newest tune by Rick Ross, “Free Enterprise.”
“Assassinate Trump like I’m [George] Zimmerman, now accept these words as they came from Eminem,” say the song’s lyrics.
If Lynch is serious about cracking down on “violent talk,” rap music in general, and this song in particular, would be a fantastic place to start.
That is, if she wants to stop all violent talk and not just that which offends Muslims.
