Lawmaker’s awesome, heat-packing family Christmas card: ‘It’s up to Americans to protect America’

Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore showed loud and clear where she stands on the Second Amendment debate with her new Christmas card design. Her entire family is pictured and, except for the little ones, each family member is depicted packing heat.

The Republican lawmaker posted it to her Facebook page with the notation, “It’s up to Americans to protect America. We’re just your ordinary American family.-With love & liberty, Michele.”

Here’s the card.

She signed the card with “Love and liberty.”

She lists the guns depicted as: A Beretta 92FS, Glock 30 .45ACP, Serbu Super-Shorty 12-gauge shotgun, Extar EXP-556, Walther P22 (LR), Glock 19 9mm and Glock 30 .45ACP.

Fiore has remained a staunch defender of the right to keep and bear arms. Talking Points Memo reported:

Fiore made headlines in 2014 when she defended Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy. She told MSNBC, “Don’t come here with guns and expect the American people not to fire back.”

Fiore lost her position as majority leader and taxation committee chair in December 2014, according to the Associated Press, after reports that the IRS had filed hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax liens against her in the last decade.

President Barack Obama, on the other hand, has been preaching gun control almost from the moment he assumed office. He will deliver an address Sunday night on the San Bernardino shooting, where he is expected to make yet another pitch for Second Amendment restrictions.
