‘Maybe he should have been roughed up’: Trump tells Fox News obnoxious BLM fool needed to be stopped

donald-trumo-F&FRepublican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said of a disruptive protester at a campaign rally Saturday who’d allegedly been roughed up by supporters that maybe he had it coming.

He made his remarks during an interview on “Fox & Friends” Sunday and they are being amplified by leftwing critics.

Trump said that the Black Lives Matter protester who disrupted the Birmingham, Alabama rally was “so obnoxious and so loud,” that “Maybe he should have been roughed up, because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing.”

The protester, Mercutio Southall Jr., told a local newspaper that he’d been thrown to the ground, kicked and called racially-offensive names.

Video footage shot depicts Southall being taken to the floor, but doesn’t show anyone kicking him.

It also indicates someone repeating to him that “all lives matter.” No racial epithets can be heard.

As BPR reported on Sunday, CNN described the incident as the take-down of a black man:

At least a half-dozen attendees shoved and tackled the protester, a black man, to the ground as he refused to leave the event. At least one man punched the protester and a woman kicked him while he was on the ground.

All of the attendees who were involved in the physical altercation with the protester were white.

The protester appeared to be shouting “black lives matter” and later removed his sweatshirt to reveal a shirt with those words.

At least one witness had a different account, telling Gateway Pundit:

No one kicked him or called him racial names. He laid in the floor refusing to get up & leave. Every time they got him on his feet he would try to lay down again. When they did finally get him on his feet & headed towards the door he tried to run back into the crowd shouting & screaming Black Lives Matter garbage. Finally when they were escorting him out of the crowd & towards the door is when he pulled up his outer garment revealing his BLM shirt.
