‘The View’ uses terror as opportunity to bash Christians; reminds us of ‘monster Christians’ like ‘Hitler’

It seems the left just can’t help themselves when it comes to denigrating Christianity.

The ladies on ABC’s “The View” were discussing Syrian refugees on Tuesday and singled out Republican presidential candidates who suggested only Christian refugees should be allowed into the United States.

“Republican candidates like Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz think America should only accept Christian Syrian refugees,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg observed. “Donald Trump says we should strongly consider closing the mosques. Is this really going to help root out ISIS?”

Muslim’s video message to ISIS goes viral: ‘If you
don’t like this country, why the f**k do you come?’

Co-host Joy Behar quickly reminded viewers that the candidates weren’t being “very Christian.”

“The irony of saying that only Christians could come it’s not very Christian to say that, is it?” she chimed in, before later offering an example of a bad Christian.

“[Oklahoma City bomber] Timothy McVeigh was a Christian,” Behar said.

Having set up an opportunity too good to pass on, Whoopi pounced.

“There have been a lot of horrifying – there have been a lot of monster Christians,” she said. “Hitler was a Christian.”

Except that’s not entirely true — Hitler was raised as a Catholic, but was disdainful of Christianity as an adult. As for McVeigh, he too was raised as a Catholic, but identified as an agnostic as an adult.
