Hillary gives Obama pass on underestimating ISIS; fear not, there’s always a Bush to blame

Saturday night’s Democratic presidential debate opened with an emphasis on the terrorist attack in Paris at the hands of Islamic extremists, with likely Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton making it clear that as president, she’d continue President Obama’s strategy of leading from behind.

Clinton refused to acknowledge that the Obama administration underestimated the threat of ISIS when asked by debate moderator John Dickerson.

“I think that we have to look at ISIS as the leading threat of an international terror network,” she replied. “It cannot be contained. It must be defeated.”

Ann Coulter has a lot to say about Paris attack!

Clinton stressed the fight to defeat ISIS “cannot be an American fight,” and said U.S. military resources “should be used as a last resort” in the fight against radical Islam, not that Clinton would agree to use the phrase.

Dickerson pressed, but despite President Obama’s assessment on the day of the Paris attack that ISIS has been contained, Clinton deferred and did what any respectable Democrat would do — she blamed George W. Bush.

Clinton said the administration, which she was a part of, “abided by the agreement” that Bush made with Iraq and that former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki was also to blame.

“I think that what happened when we abided by the agreement that George W. Bush made with the Iraqis to leave by 2011, is that an Iraqi army was left, that it had been trained and was prepared to defend Iraq,” she said. “Unfortunately, Nouri al-Maliki, the prime minister, set about decimating it.”

The look on Clinton’s face when asked the question says all that needs to be said about her enthusiasm for addressing the issue, as seen here:
