Bill Clinton shared Trump slogan, ‘Make America Great Again’

By now, everyone knows that the signature rallying cry of Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is “Make America Great Again!” But where did he come up with it?

Flashback video recently surfaced of Bill Clinton declaring that he wants to make America great again, which sounds a little like the Trump slogan.

But, as Daily Caller pointed out on Thursday, the more memorable use came from a 1980 Ronald Reagan campaign slogan: “Let’s make America great again.”

The slogan was actually trademarked by Trump more than two years ago, according to Business Insider.

“I mean, I get tremendous raves for that line,” Trump was quoted as saying. “I could come up with different lines. You would think they would come up with their own. That is my whole theme.”

Washington, D.C.-based political and media consultant Chuck Thies dug it up and tweeted:

I can see it now, another imagined.

Then again, maybe back when, Clinton was showing his support for the New York billionaire businessman in an odd sort of way.

But that’s just crazy — isn’t it?
