A British man finally decided to get an unsightly mistake fixed after two years.

The unnamed man was shocked when he awoke from a drunken stupor at a bachelor party to find a pair of beer goggles had been tattooed on his face, according to the Southwales Evening Post.

At first, he thought it was drawn on with permanent marker. But when he found out it was a tattoo, he decided to keep it.

“Waking-up the morning after, I thought someone had used a permanent marker on my face. I had no memory of getting the tattoo because I had gone out celebrating and when it happened I was drunk,” he told the Post.

“When I first came home, obviously I was subject to a lot of stares, but I kind of got used to the tattoo and decided not to get rid of it,” he said.

That is, until weeks ago, when he got some unflattering comments during a night out on the town.

“The next morning I really started to think about what my family and friends thought,” he said.

“I didn’t want them to be embarrassed when they were out with me, so I decided there and then I was going to get it removed.”

It took six treatments in total, but he said he is thrilled with the results.

“All I can say is that the whole process was amazing,” he told the Post.

“There is no scarring, and when friends who haven’t seen me for months come over, they always notice something is different.

“When they realize the tattoo is gone, they are shocked about how well the treatment has worked.”
