Liar! NY Mayor de Blasio busted on phony Mets tweets

deblasio_mets_leftIt would have been too good to be true: New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, a longtime Red Sox fan, “fell in love” with the Mets.

And, as it turns out, it’s not true at all.

Mayor de Blasio’s tweets during the Mets’ World Series loss to the Kansas City Royals, Sunday, were written by a staffer, the Daily News reported Tuesday.

The shame!

What feels familiar is the breeze blowing off the mayor’s hot air.

Perhaps de Blasio should take this KC fan’s advice.

New Yorkers take their sports teams rather seriously—this thing could take a while to blow over.

The Mets lost in a heartbreaker, but there’s always a bright side—or is there?
