Outspoken celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain has a pretty big beef with GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Best known for his food and travel hit “No Reservations,” Bourdain told a Sirius XM radio show on Wednesday that if Trump is elected and keeps his immigration promises, “every restaurant in America would shut down,” according to mynewsla.com.
Immigrants are “the backbone of the industry,” Bourdain said.
“Walking into restaurants, the person who had been there the longest and took the time to show me how it was done was always Mexican or Central American,” he said of his experience after culinary school.
In his decades of experience as a restaurant owner or manager, Bourdain apparently has concluded that Americans are just lazy.
“Never in any of those years, not once, did any American-born kid walk into my restaurant and say, ‘I’d like a job as a night porter, or a dishwasher, or even a prep cook.’ [They were] few and far between [and] not willing to start at the bottom like that,” mynewsla.com reported.
