Congresswoman berates Hillary for laughing during testimony; James Woods responds with hopeful prediction

clinton-robyFormer Secretary of State Hillary Clinton erupted in bizarre laughter at Thursday’s Benghazi hearing, prompting a committee woman to scold her.

Well into Clinton’s appearance before the House Select Committee on Benghazi, Rep, Martha Roby, R-Ala., asked Clinton about her activities on the night the U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya was attacked.

Clinton told the committee she was home during the attack.

“Who else was at your home? Were you alone?” Roby asked.

“I was alone, yes,” Clinton replied.

When Roby followed up with, “The whole night?” Clinton burst into laughter as she responded, “Yes, the whole night.”

At that point the Congresswoman stopped asking her prepared questions and looked up from her notes to face Clinton,

“I don’t know why that’s funny,” Roby said. “Did you have any in-person briefings? I don’t find it funny at all.”

Still chuckling, Clinton responded, “I’m sorry, a little note of levity at 7:15. Note it for the record.”

Watch the exchange.

Clinton may have thought the whole process hilarious, but others weren’t amused. The exchange prompted conservative actor James Woods to make a hopeful prediction.
