Celebrities are slow to learn that it’s not a good idea to wear their politics on their sleeve — especially in today’s age, with a liberal media eager to celebrate those of a similar mindset.
Major League Baseball got a reminder of this Tuesday while promoting the playoffs on social media with a photo of actress Jenny McCarthy, who’s the poster child for the anti-vaccine movement in America.

The Washington Post reported on the reputation McCarthy has on the issue of vaccinations:
McCarthy has been so vocal about her stance against vaccinations (she says they caused her son’s autism) that she’s become the celebrity face of the controversial movement — and the focus of the backlash against it, with some casting her as a walking, talking public health threat.
The tag has become so troublesome for the former co-host of ABC’s “The View” that she has since tried to back away from the stance, the newspaper added.

But don’t tell that to social media users who reacted to MLB’s promo on Tuesday. “Think of the children,” one user cried. All in all, MLB probably wish they could go back and rethink this one.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
.@MLB @JennyMcCarthy @Cubs get her out of the stadium she’s not vaccinated

@MLB @JennyMcCarthy @Cubs huge reason to root for the Mets! Hope she knows more about baseball than she claims to know about medicine
