Star of hottest new political movie STRONGLY endorses Trump; gets scorned as black conservative

Anthony Mackie set Twitter on fire Monday when he endorsed Donald Trump for president.

The actor made the statement in an interview with Black Entertainment Television as he was promoting his new film “Our Brand is Crisis,” a political comedy starring Sandra Bullock .

“I would 100 percent want to run Trump’s campaign. 100 percent,” he told BET. “I mean, first that’ll be the best party ever when he won, and second, Trump’s an easy sell… When you look at Trump, he’s an easy sell because you can sell him as the guy who worked his way up from nothing. And I think if you’re a ‘pull yourself up by your bootstraps’ candidate, people would identify with that.”

“I’m on the bandwagon,” Mackie added. “I’m drinking the Kool-Aid!”

Mackie made waves with the black community in January when he declared that black men with dreadlocks were “part of the problem” when it comes to police brutality.

His latest comments brought scorn from Twitter users who seem to believe a back person isn’t allowed to be a conservative.
