This has the potential to be really good.
With Vice President Joe Biden reportedly close to making a decision on whether he will run for president, a “close confidant and longtime adviser” of the vice president suggested Sunday that Team Clinton is trying to bully him to commit sooner, if he plans to run.
The unnamed confidant, who spoke to Biden recently, pointed to Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, who declared last week that it was time for Biden to make a decision.
“He (Biden) really does not care about John or anyone else,” the source said, according to CBS News. “He does not like bullies and will not be bullied.”

Showing that the vice president is paying attention to how popular outsiders are with the American public this election cycle, the source tried to paint Biden in a similar manner.
“He has never really been part of the Democratic establishment and could care less about it,” the confidant said.

And while downplaying any pressure, when asked Sunday, Hillary Clinton said Biden “has to make this decision.”
“Whether you are encouraging or not, there comes a time where a decision has to be made,” Clinton said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“And certainly I’m not in any way suggesting or recommending that the vice president accept any time table other than the one that is clicking inside of him,” she said. “He has to make this decision.”
Democratic strategist David Axelrod, a former top adviser to President Obama, appeared on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday to say “particularly within the Democratic community there’s a growing impatience” for Biden to make a decision.
