Lawmaker proposes ‘Vietnam Wall’ memorial to honor aborted babies; Planned Parenthood to pay

A Missouri lawmaker wants to build a memorial wall for babies murdered in the womb, and plans to make Planned Parenthood pay for it.

Rep. Rick Brattin made the suggestion Wednesday as Republicans on the Missouri House’s committees on Children and Families and Ways and Means were trying to figure out ways to tighten abortion regulations.

The ideas included random inspections of facilities that provide abortion services and better tracking of the use of fetal tissue, according to KBIA.

Brattin suggested that the human lives taken by Planned Parenthood be honored the same way as veterans of the Vietnam War.

“We have (since 1973) 56 million babies that have been lost in the abortion service and industry, (so) I think maybe requiring that Planned Parenthood set up some type of memorial, like a Vietnam Wall type (memorial),” he suggested, according to KBIA. “I know that sounds crazy, but by state law (fetuses are) given human status, so should there be a human memorial attached to that human life?”

Democrat Rep. Stacey Newman derided the idea, and the entire hearing, as politically motivated.
“I am perplexed,” she said, according to KBIA. “I know that this is a witch hunt hearing, in terms of trying to find some type of legislation for the majority to file next year, which we know is a presidential election year.”

Considering the fact that 58,220 Americans died in the Vietnam War while millions have perished due to abortions, the idea is more likely motivated by something called human decency.
