Raven-Symoné has been hit from all sides following comments that she wouldn’t hire someone with a black-sounding name and now her own father has weighed in.
Christopher Pearman, who is also the star’s former manager, lashed out at his daughter’s remarks made on ABC’s “The View” Thursday where Symoné said she wouldn’t “hire you if your name is Watermelondrea.”
“I certainly don’t agree with what she said….but she is damn near thirty years old,” he wrote on his Facebook page. “She’s a grown a** woman making grown a** mistakes. We all have been guilty of this.”
Pearman called the comments and “inexcusable gaffe” but said he supports her no matter what.
“Raven is a really Beautiful, Sweethearted, Human Being.I should know. Her Mother and I Love her Very much and will always support her and have her back,” he wrote. “Even if sometimes……….she says some dumb S#%T!”
