Dr. Ben Carson’s camp is firing back against leftist GQ Magazine’s hit piece on him in the aftermath of the Oregon shooting.
The magazine’s “reporter,” Drew Magary, labeled not only the world renowned neurosurgeon “stupid,” but also painted the entire GOP field, and Republican voters, with that brush.
“The only thing more alarming than Donald Trump leading the Republican presidential field is the fact that Ben Carson is the guy right behind him,” Magary wrote. “While establishment puds like Jeb! Bush and Marco Rubio can’t decide if they want to beat Trump or emulate him, the Good Doctor made it clear this week that he is not only willing to replicate Trump’s signature brand of hot-garbage-spewing, but he’ll say even DUMBER shit.”
Carson’s campaign manager Barry Bennett appeared on Fox News’ “The Kelly File” Thursday and said the GOP presidential hopeful was “sickened” by the article.
“It’s kind of the height of hypocrisy isn’t it?” he said. “The enlightened left full of intolerance and hatred, it’s amazing. This guy should be writing about the do’s and don’ts of pocket squares. When it comes to political thought he needs to get out of the building.”
