While discussing his comment about fighting back should he find himself face-to-face with a maniac gunman in a Sirius XM Radio interview, Republican presidential contender Ben Carson recounted a tale of being held up.

“I have had a gun held on me when I was in a Popeyes‘ organization,” Carson said, referring to the fried chicken fast-food chain, according to CNN. “Guy comes in, put a gun in my ribs. And I just said, ‘I believe that you want the guy behind the counter.'”

Fair enough, it’s certainly a plausible scenario in America.

But don’t tell that to the far left, who insist that Carson cannot possibly be telling the truth — that’s right, move over birthers and 9/11 truthers, America now has Popeyes truthers.

We won’t be props: Oregon shooting victim’s
family will NOT meet with Obama, on principle

The people who preach about tolerance and acceptance took to social media to insist that a conservative black man could not possibly have an appetite for fried chicken.

The stereotypes on display makes you question which party is the party of racists, though more than one envisioned a scene from the Eddie Murphy movie “Coming to America.”
