Hillary Clinton is cherry picking what parts of Christian doctrine should be applied to the American public.
The former secretary of state invoked the Bible at a campaign stop in Iowa on Tuesday where she spoke about what Jesus wants us to do.
“We are called upon by Jesus to care about the poor,” she said to the crowd at the River Center in downtown Davenport. “That is the number one request.”
Quoting the Bible is fantastic as there are many parts of Christianity that millions of voters agree with, like not killing unborn babies and marriage being between one man and one woman. Things Clinton is vehemently opposed to.
What it seems she’s not opposed to is using Biblical references for her own political purposes, taking the parts she likes and ignoring the others.
She got slammed on social media for her selective faith, including one sarcastic tweet that sums it up nicely: ” . . . because if there is ONE THING we can all agree on, its that Jesus was WAY for publicly funded abortions.”
@rubycramer @HillaryClinton Pope also said “protect and defend human life at every stage of its development”. Cherry picking quotes, huh?

@EnPointe2 @K1erry @rubycramer @HillaryClinton I don’t think making the other guy pay high taxes & telling myself I helped the poor cuts it — May Thewords (@MayThewords) October 6, 2015
@agearan @HillaryClinton because if there is ONE THING we can all agree on, its that Jesus was WAY for publicly funded abortions

@joegridingteeth @agearan @HillaryClinton “Let the little children come to me,” at least those lucky enough to make it out of the womb. — Randy Wortinger (@randicus79) October 6, 2015
@redsteeze I think she’d also be called by Jesus not to rip a baby in pieces from the safety of its mother’s womb. @agearan @HillaryClinton

@rubycramer @HillaryClinton Granny means poor politicians who need @PPact donations from #PPSellsBabyParts. — Republicanvet (@Republicanvet91) October 6, 2015
Yep. Pretty sure Jesus was keen on people caring for the poor, not by force. @Z28oDeth @CaroleGilman @rubycramer @HillaryClinton

@rubycramer @HillaryClinton HIlary, as long as you’re quoting Pope Francis, he also said to “defend life at every stage of development.” — Grandpa Munster (@congo29) October 6, 2015
