Now that Harry Reid doesn’t need the support of gun owners anymore, he’s pointing both barrels at the National Rifle Association.
The retiring Senator from Nevada, who earmarked $61 million for a gun range in Clark County, Nevada in 2010 — a range for which Reid and NRA President Wayne LaPierre cut the ribbon when they opened — is now railing against the group.
On Monday, Reid stood on the Senate floor and declared that Republicans are acting as “puppets of the NRA,” much like Reid when he attempted to purchase its endorsement in 2010.
Now that he doesn’t need them anymore, he’s on the attack.
Reid’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Adam Jentleson, gave a blow by blow on Twitter, Monday, of Reid’s “impassioned” remarks against the group and his Republican colleagues.
He was met by other Twitter users who knew their facts and took him to task.

Nice try, but how about an uncomfortable history lesson?
@SenatorReid aren’t you a member of the NRA? Didn’t you support the NRA after Sandy Hook? Shall not be INFRINGED UPON

@SenatorReid We DO have background checks, Mr Casino man. — Bill (@mrbill66) October 5, 2015

@SenatorReid You twit. Even I, a Canadian, know you already have background checks! Just clear your desk already. You’re smelling funky.
