Obama’s base is starting to abandon him and it could spell bad news for Hillary Clinton.
“He screwed us,” Shelley Brannon, a Virginia coal miner, said at a rally for the United Mine Workers of America in Morgantown, West Virginia, Saturday, the Washington Post reported. “Man, he screwed us.”
Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders would likely get his vote in the Democratic primary, said Brannon.

“For one thing, he knows what union is, and he respects it,” Brannon told the Post. “That’s all we need is respect. He’s just a likeable fella, trustworthy. I don’t think she [Hillary Clinton] has the same respect for the union, and she really shot herself in the foot over, you know, all that secretive stuff.”
The anti-Clinton, pro-Sanders sentiment seems to be growing across West Virginia as people feel abandoned by Obama, the Post reported.
Now they know how the rest of us have felt for nearly seven years.
