Whoopi accused of lashing out in ‘slave dialect’ rage at ‘The View’ brass

Producers should really consider making a reality show about the backstage drama at ABC’s “The View.”

Rumors and accusations provide a steady stream of entertainment . . .  if you like that sort of thing.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg is said to be irate at the behind-the-scenes changes at the show and has lashed out by acting as if she is a slave.

According to the Daily Mail, Goldberg, who acts as the show’s moderator, was angry over changes moving a morning planning meeting to a half hour earlier than she is contracted to arrive at the studio.

“I’m contractually obligated to be here at 9am and you won’t see me a minute earlier,” she reportedly told the producers, including new consulting producer, Candi Carter with whom she apparently has most of her issues.

“She told Candi: ‘I don’t take orders from your a**. Stay in your lane like you did when you worked on The Oprah Winfrey Show,’” the source said.

“Upset at the changes that Candi has implemented in the show, and not liking the way Candi speaks to the talent, Whoopi blew up a few days ago,” the source told the Daily Mail.

The source told the Mail an out of control, inconsolable Goldberg “paraded up and down the halls saying, ‘I’s a work for ABC who is my master. I’s a slave to ABC. It’s 12 Years a Whoopi at ABC.

“I’s just a n****r following orders around here, master!”

Goldberg knows she has producers over a barrel as she gets paid her $5 million annual salary whether she works or gets fired.

“Whoopi is at the point where she couldn’t care less and keeps reminding everyone that if they don’t like her style, then pay her the rest of her money and send her home,” according to the source.

The report claims producers are considering not bringing Goldberg back after the Christmas break and bringing former host Sherri Shepherd back full time, with outspoken liberal comedian Joy Behar taking over moderator duties.

But a spokesperson for the show told the Daily Mail that the report was false.

“This is pure nonsense and completely untrue,” the source said. “The ratings are up and everyone at the show, including Whoopi, who leads the charge for us each day, is excited about what’s ahead.”
