Screaming audience as stage backdrop collapses on Carly Fiorina; watch how she reacts

[sharenow]

carly-fiorinaRepublican presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina seemed unruffled by a collapsing stage backdrop in Texas, Sunday.

The candidate was addressing a group of supporters in San Antonio when the curtains began wavering and then rained down on Fiorina, as others tried to shield her.

Amidst the resulting screams from the audience, Fiorina, however, seemed unaffected. She merely asked, “Is everybody all right?”

When it was clear no one was hurt — only frightened — the former Hewlett-Packard CEO joked, “Hey, we just get it done, huh?”

Offering a special thanks to the women who were on the stage with her, and shielded her, she said “Now I realize they were my guardian angels.”

At one point someone in the audience shouted, “Donald Trump!”

“OK, Trump, Hillary [Clinton], it could’ve been lots of people,” she quipped.

Watch the video, via ABC News, then check out the tweets from an audience member who’d apparently thought the stage had collapsed.
