Obama order to block White House windows for dinner with China leader infuriates social media

This is the most “transparent” administration in history?

President Obama screened off the White House windows to block out a human rights demonstration on Friday during a state dinner honoring Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Did he also blindfold the Chinese leader during the drive to dinner?

Marion Smith, executive director of Victims of Communism, organized the demonstration, and tweeted:

The rally’s purpose was to request that Obama bring up China’s human rights violations during Xi’s visit.

“It is not an undiplomatic thing for the United States to bring up human rights,” Smith said while addressing the demonstrators.

“We have always stood for the rule of law, justice, liberty and democratic values, not only for us, but for peoples around the world. And so we must do that.”

Pointing out his sweatshirt with the words “TS 1989,” Smith said that the Chinese government continues to deny the 1989 massacre of unarmed student protesters at Beijing’s Tiananmen Square.

And just as Xi denies the existence of the Tiananmen Square massacre to the United States, Obama attempted to deny the existence of a demonstration right across the street from him.

Smith’s tweet stirred up a hornet’s nest on social media, with one user branding the measure for what it was: “fundamentally anti-American.”

It all makes one wonder — what else is the president hiding, and from whom?
