Are Americans ready for a politician this honest?
A hilarious video is out spoofing a typical political commercial — with one glaring modification. The “candidate” is brutally honest.
The satirical character Gil Fulbright appears in the ad produced by Represent.us, a group promoting campaign finance reform, and gives plenty of reasons to support its cause.
“Ideas, policies and morals. These are things I don’t need. What I need is two billion dollars,” Fulbright deadpans, before explaining how he will break all of his campaign promises in order to give his campaign donors what they want.

This isn’t Fulbright’s first foray into the election process either. The parody character ran for Senate in 2014.
