Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump unleashed a fiery tirade against Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly for “very negative” coverage of the presidential contender’s poll numbers on Monday.
.@oreillyfactor was very negative to me in refusing to to post the great polls that came out today including NBC. @FoxNews not good for me!

Then Trump took aim directly at Fox News as a whole:

Trump fans supported the billionaire’s frustration, and Trump re-tweeted a few of what must have been his favorite responses:

It didn’t take long for news about Trump’s Twitter rant to reach O’Reilly. He was asked about it on NBC’s “Today Show” with Matt Lauer Tuesday morning.
“I think Trump has been good for politics in America, and I’m the only one that says that,” O’Reilly said.
As far as the direct attacks from Trump? O’Reilly chalks it all up to “political theater.”
“So I just think this is an extension of his reality show, ‘The Apprentice,’” O’Reilly said. “This is just theater right now. He gets a lot of attention from the theater.”
“When people criticize him, he takes it personally,” O’Reilly continued. “And then, you know, this machine, the tweeting thing, that’s like the worst thing you can give Donald Trump is this tweeting thing.”
