Fox News’ Andrea Tantaros nails Hillary for ‘Obama’s-a-Muslim’ hypocrisy

Fox News personality Andrea Tantaros took a pointed shot at Hillary Clinton Monday as the Democrat presidential contender continued to attack Donald Trump and Ben Carson for their remarks on President Obama and Muslims.

“Can a Muslim be President of the United States of America? In a word: Yes. Now let’s move on,” Clinton tweeted Monday in response to Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson’s statement Sunday that he didn’t believe America should elect a Muslim president.

Not so fast, Hillary. Tantaros, a co-host of Fox News’ “The Five,” reminded Clinton that it was her 2008 campaign for president that started pushing the “Obama is a Muslim” narrative when she ran against him for the Democrat presidential nomination.

Those same sentiments were expressed Monday morning by both Donald Trump on “Fox & Friends” and a panel on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Monday.

“Believe me, what I said is nothing. Take a look at what Hillary said in 2008 when she was running against him in 2008. Hillary was maybe the first to bring it up. People should go back and look at Hillary’s relationship to Obama when they were running against each other. I think you’ll be very surprised,” Trump told the Fox News hosts.

“For Hillary Clinton to come out and criticize anybody for spreading the rumors about Barack Obama, when it all started – with her and her campaign passing things around in the Democratic primary,” MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said. “It started with Hillary Clinton and it was spread by the Clinton team in 2008.”

Other Twitter users joined Tantaros in scoffing at the hypocrisy.

As Clinton is finding out from so many angles, you can run but you cannot hide from the truth.
